Motor Design is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this privacy policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we process?

When you contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp or via a form on this website, we process the data you provide yourself, such as:

• name, phone number and email address;
• details of your car: make, model, year, mileage, number plate and, where applicable, the chassis number (VIN);
• your description of the problem, a preferred date and any photos you send.

Forms and hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify. What you fill in on the appointment form or the car purchase form (including uploaded photos) is processed and stored via Netlify Forms and forwarded to us. Netlify acts as a processor on our behalf. Data may be processed outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by law.

What do we use your data for?

• to answer your question and get in touch with you;
• to schedule an appointment, send you a price or make you an offer (for example to buy your car);
• to carry out and invoice the work on your car;
• to comply with legal obligations (for example accounting);
• only with your consent: to compile website visitor statistics (see below).

The legal basis is your request (steps prior to entering into a contract), the performance of a contract, a legal obligation or, for website statistics, your consent. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising without your consent.

How long do we keep your data?

No longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as long as the law requires (for example for invoices). Requests that do not lead to an appointment or contract are deleted periodically.

Website statistics (Google Analytics)

Only if you give consent via the cookie banner do we use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to see how visitors use our website. The cookies _ga and _ga_* are then set (retention period up to 2 years after your last visit) and data is processed such as the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, an approximate location and clicks on the call, WhatsApp and appointment buttons and the submission of forms. What you fill in on a form is not sent to Google Analytics.

The legal basis is your consent. Without consent, we do not load Google Analytics. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; the IP address is used to derive an approximate location and then deleted. Advertising features and Google Signals are switched off. Google may also process data outside the European Union, including in the United States.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We store your choice in your browser (md_consent in localStorage); after 6 months we ask again. More details can be found in our cookie policy.

External services

Links to WhatsApp and Google Maps open a third-party service with its own privacy policy. The map on this website (OpenStreetMap) is only loaded after you click on it. You can read more about this in our cookie policy.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of your data, the right to object and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, send an email to info@motordesign.be.
