We inspect the car technically, read its fault codes and go through what we found with you.
What we check and do
- Fault code reading – stored and active fault codes
- Engine and drivetrain – leaks, noises and operation
- Brakes, tyres and suspension – wear and play
- Test drive – handling, gear changes and braking (in agreement with the seller)
- Service history – checked together with you on the basis of the documents
Why diagnose first?
A fault code or a symptom does not always tell you where the problem really is. That is why we carry out targeted checks first, before replacing anything. We cannot make a definitive diagnosis remotely or over the phone; we can tell you what we are going to check and how we will go about it.
Sound familiar?
- You are unsure about a used car
- No or incomplete service history
- Car bought from a private seller
- Strange noises during the test drive
Frequently asked questions
Is a pre-purchase inspection the same as the technical inspection (keuring)?
No. A pre-purchase inspection is a technical check by our garage and does not replace the statutory technical inspection. It does give you a better picture of the car's condition.
Does the seller have to bring the car to you?
Usually, yes: the seller or you bring the car to our workshop in Deurne. Arrange this with the seller in advance.
Can you guarantee that a car has no defects?
No, nobody can fully guarantee that. We check what can be checked technically and tell you honestly what we see.
